Huawei’s Enjoy 100 Pro and Pro Max launch in China with different battery and selfie priorities. The larger model is not an automatic upgrade.

Choosing the more expensive Huawei Enjoy 100 model is not simply a matter of getting more of everything. The Pro Max emphasizes battery capacity, while the smaller Pro carries a higher-resolution front camera. Buyers need to decide which difference belongs in their daily routine.
GSMArena reported both China launches on October 28, with starting prices of CNY 1,799 for Enjoy 100 Pro and CNY 1,999 for Pro Max. These are local entry prices, not offers for identical storage configurations in other markets.
Huawei’s Pro product page confirms a 6,100mAh typical battery, a 32MP front camera and a display supporting up to 120Hz. GSMArena lists an 8,800mAh battery and an 8MP front camera for Pro Max, with both supporting 40W charging.
Belliste would choose between these phones by endurance needs and actual camera samples, rather than assuming “Max” identifies the better purchase for everyone.
An owner who spends long days away from power has a clear reason to investigate the larger model. That is different from concluding that it will last a specific number of extra hours. We have not tested either handset, and the capacity figures alone cannot deliver that answer.
We would want a comparison using the same brightness, network conditions and workload. Navigation, video calls and downloaded video place different demands on a phone. A test focused on one task should not silently become a guarantee for all three.
Charging needs also deserve thought. The same maximum charging power does not establish matching empty-to-full times across different battery capacities. Buyers who depend on a short recharge should look for a charging curve rather than just comparing the wattage printed beside each phone.
The front-camera resolution difference challenges the usual assumption that the larger model is automatically the more capable one. It does not prove that the Pro takes better selfies. Focus, exposure and processing need to be judged from images, especially when faces move or indoor light is poor.
For someone who makes frequent video calls, we would test the application they use, not merely the manufacturer’s camera mode. A good still photograph and a dependable call are separate requirements.
GSMArena also reports different chipsets within the Pro Max range depending on storage. That makes the precise configuration important. We would ask a retailer to state the full model and capacity before accepting an offer based only on the family name.
These announcements establish new options in Huawei’s home market. They do not establish that the same software services, sales arrangements or support apply to an imported handset.
Before ordering from another country, a buyer should confirm essential applications, local network compatibility and warranty handling. Those checks can outweigh a battery advantage if the phone cannot comfortably replace the device already in use.
The Belliste smartphone directory can help assemble alternatives, but the final comparison should use local prices and matching capacities. Our preference would be to keep the Pro on that list for buyers who value its particular camera configuration, and consider Pro Max when a verified endurance advantage would solve a real problem.
The checked launch report concerns China and does not establish international availability.
