Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G Review: Specs, Battery, Camera and Performance

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G is built around a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 performance and a 10000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W HyperCharge. Xiaomi also lists IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K protection, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and HyperOS 3.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G features a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 12-bit color, HDR10+ and a peak brightness of up to 3500 nits. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Xiaomi also lists IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K dust and water resistance and certified drop resistance up to 3 meters.

The phone uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, manufactured on a 4nm process, with an octa-core CPU reaching up to 2.6GHz and an Adreno GPU. Configurations vary by market, with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB storage. Xiaomi lists UFS 4.1 for 256GB and 512GB models, while 128GB variants use UFS 2.2. The software is HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.

The rear camera system combines a 50MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide camera. The main sensor uses an f/1.5 6P lens, while the ultrawide camera has a 120-degree field of view. Rear video recording supports up to 4K at 30fps, with 1080p recording available at 30 or 60fps. The front camera is 32MP and also supports 4K video at 30fps.

Battery capacity is one of the main features of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G. Xiaomi lists a 10000mAh typical silicon-carbon battery for the global model, paired with 100W HyperCharge. The phone also supports up to 27W wired reverse charging and USB-C Power Delivery.
