A curved 120Hz AMOLED screen and 5,500mAh battery make the Redmi Note 15 5G attractive around $200, but its speakers and cameras deserve a closer look.
The Redmi Note 15 5G puts a curved AMOLED screen into a phone the video creator found listed for roughly $200–$230. At that price, the display makes an immediate impression. The speakers, however, are much less impressive, and the short hands-on leaves camera and battery questions unanswered.
This Belliste article analyzes the linked first-look video rather than independent testing. Xiaomi provided the review unit to the creator, who disclosed that arrangement. The handset shown is a global-market version; Chinese-market specifications may differ.
The reviewed unit has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Other configurations mentioned in the video range from 6GB to 12GB of RAM, with storage up to 512GB. Prices and available versions depend on the market; the figures cited in the video are not live retail quotes.
Xiaomi includes a 45W charger, USB-C cable, silicone case, SIM ejector and paperwork in the box shown. That is a useful inclusion for a budget buyer, although accessories can vary by market.
The review unit is Mist Purple; Glacier Blue and Black are also mentioned.
The 6.77-inch Full HD AMOLED panel is the standout feature. Its curved edges lend the phone a more expensive look, while colors, contrast and viewing angles draw particular praise during video playback.
The 120Hz refresh rate keeps scrolling smooth. Xiaomi advertises 3,200 nits of peak brightness, although the creator does not measure brightness or test sustained outdoor visibility.
The curved edges will divide opinion. They appeal to the creator, but the video does not establish how the design handles accidental touches or long-term wear.
The phone runs Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 with Android 15 and HyperOS 2 on the unit shown. App navigation and quick settings appear smooth in the demonstration, and the in-display fingerprint sensor responds promptly.
The demonstration stops short of gaming benchmarks or sustained-load testing. Smooth menus are encouraging, but they cannot tell us how the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 behaves during a demanding gaming session.
Xiaomi's interface uses separate swipe-down areas for notifications and quick settings. The reviewer finds plenty of preinstalled third-party apps, including games, but demonstrates that they can be uninstalled. He also shows customizable toggles, Google Wallet, Dolby Atmos controls and Mi Remote.
Four major Android upgrades are mentioned in the video; the regional support terms still need checking.
The rear module has three prominent circles, but only two are cameras. The reviewed phone uses a 108MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide; the remaining circle is decorative rather than a third lens. The camera island makes the hardware look more elaborate than it is.
In a brief indoor photo demonstration, the main camera produces pleasing color and decent detail. The creator also notices reasonably quick shutter response. There are no meaningful low-light, portrait or moving-subject comparisons yet; the creator says a fuller camera review will follow.
The camera app offers high-resolution capture, portrait and Pro modes. The rear camera supports 4K recording at 30fps according to the video. Up front, a 20MP camera is described as recording 1080p at 30fps. Video stabilization and microphone quality are not compared.
The Redmi Note 15 5G has a 5,500mAh battery and supports 45W wired charging. The included adapter is a welcome detail, especially for a budget device.
There is no timed charging run or battery rundown in the footage. The capacity looks competitive on paper, but buyers focused on endurance will need a longer test to know what it delivers.
The stereo speakers sit at opposite ends of the phone. After playing music, the creator describes their output as thin and lacking fullness, roughly in line with his expectations for the price. His Galaxy A17 5G comparison is an impression, not a measured audio test.
This is the clearest mismatch in the package: films look good on the AMOLED screen, but the speakers do little to match the picture.
USB-C, an infrared blaster and an in-display fingerprint reader round out the hardware. The IP65 rating provides limited water resistance, not waterproofing.
The global unit shown combines a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, 5,500mAh battery, 45W charging and two rear cameras. Listings for Chinese-market units may describe different hardware, so the model name alone is not enough to confirm specifications.
Check the exact variant, supported mobile bands, warranty and included charger when buying from an importer. The review does not establish universal carrier compatibility.
The Redmi Note 15 5G is worth considering if your budget is around the price quoted in the video and display quality matters most. Its curved AMOLED screen is the feature that stands out, and a charger and case in the box add practical value.
The stereo speakers sound thin, the software arrives with removable extras, and the camera has only been tried briefly indoors. Nothing in this first look establishes long-term battery life or gaming performance. Screen-first buyers have a reason to investigate; camera-focused buyers and heavy gamers should wait for fuller testing.
The global Redmi Note 15 5G shown in the source video uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor.
The reviewed handset has a 5,500mAh battery with 45W wired charging. The creator's retail box included a 45W adapter.
Yes. The video shows a curved 6.77-inch AMOLED display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The advertised peak brightness is 3,200 nits, not independently measured in the review.
The phone shown has two functional rear cameras: a 108MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide. The extra circle on the camera island is not a third lens.
The creator demonstrates or describes rear-camera recording at up to 4K/30fps, while the 20MP selfie camera is described as supporting 1080p/30fps.
